Shortage of Platinum as Demand Surges Worldwide
Platinum prices have seen a nice rebound in recent weeks and investor demand is surging rapidly which could be a signal that a bottom is in place. If platinum prices have already seen the lows, there is a huge profit potential here.
It seems that Japan has been on a platinum buying spree, resulting in a platinum shortage there. But that's not the only place where platinum is in high demand, investors worldwide are rushing to hoard the precious metal. From the article linked above, "Platinum is popular because the price is about 50 per cent lower than it was this time last year."
The large dip in price and signals that a bottom could be in place are sending strong messages to buyers and platinum investors all over the world. If platinum is currently around 50 percent lower than a year ago, that represents a 100 percent profit if (and when) prices return to previous levels.
There are many other bullish factors, economics and otherwise, rooting for platinum but there's nothing like the reliable old methods of supply and demand. As demand surges and supplies dwindle, prices must eventually move upward. Now might be the best buying opportunity for platinum we've seen in years, and will see for decades.
